Almost Wonderful

For the past few months I have been working on a new historical romance, titled "Almost Wonderful". It has taken some work, but I am now nearly done. Once finished, I intend to seek an agent so that I may perhaps get this book published through a larger publisher. Material Bíblico: 2ª Corintios 6:

“Así, pues, nosotros, como colaboradores suyos, os exhortamos también a que recibáis en vano la gracia de Dios” (2ª Corintios 6:1)

Introducción.

Pablo escribió más que otros escritores del Nuevo Testamento acerca de los obreros cristianos. El mismo se consideraba como colaborador de Dios.

El finado doctor C. K. Vliet contaba gozosamente a menudo que a la edad de 13 años tuvo que abandonar sus estudios para ayudar a ganar el sustento diario de la familia. Le ayudaba a su padre en su negocio de pintura y tapizado de casas, en lo que obtuvo gran destreza con el tiempo. Cierto día su padre regresó de un pueblo cercano y le dio un paquete, el cual le ordenó que abriera. Cuando comenzó a abrirlo notó que era un anuncio y, decepcionado, lo iba a dejar medio abierto, pero su padre le dijo: “Ábrelo y lee lo que dice el anuncio”.

Aquel muchacho recibió una sorpresa muy agradable; el anuncio decía: “C.K. Vliet e Hijo, Pintores Asociados”. Se había convertido en colaborador, socio activo de su padre.

Si nosotros trabajamos con todo nuestro corazón sirviéndole al Señor, también descubriremos que es hermoso ser colaborador, socio, del Señor. Consideremos lo que Pablo dice en relación con el trabajo que se hace para Dios.

BOSQUEJO.

I) LA MOTIVACION DE NUESTRO TRABAJO

“Hacedlo todo para la gloria de Dios” (1ª Corintios10:31).

A.- Personas a quienes se les dirigió este mensaje:

1.- Esclavos que se habían convertido recientemente.

2.- Esclavos que necesitaban dirección en su nueva vida de libertad.

3.- Esclavos que poseían dignidad y valor ante Dios.

B.- El mensaje dado:

1.- Que trabajaran para la gloria de Dios.

2.- Que trabajaran para dar testimonio de la gracia de Dios.

C.-Lecciones:

1.- ¿Lo que estamos haciendo nosotros, lo hacemos para la gloria de Dios?

2.- ¿Qué es lo que te motiva? El Señor Jesucristo predicó todo un sermón sobre la motivación del cristiano (ver Mateo 6; buenas obras, oración y ayuno, etc.)

II) COMO SE DEBE HACER NUESTRO TRABAJO

“Y todo lo que hagáis, hacedlo de corazón como para el Señor y no para los hombres” (Colosenses 3:23).

A.- Hay que hacer todo para Cristo.

1.- Pablo trataba de que se mejoraran las relaciones entre amos y esclavos.

2.- Aun en la condición de esclavo se debe trabajar conscientemente.

3.- Esclavos, vendedores, maestros de escuela dominical, miembros de la junta de diáconos, ancianos de iglesia, sociedad femenil, juvenil, todos deben ser mejores obreros y más eficientes debido a su cristianismo. Barclay dijo: “El cristianismo nunca ofrece escape del arduo trabajo natural; sencillamente le da al hombre la disposición de trabajar con ahínco. Tampoco le ofrece al hombre escape de situaciones difíciles; sencillamente le capacita para afrontar las situaciones con una mejor disposición como un mejor hombre”.

El servicio cristiano no se trabaja por dinero, ambición ni para agradar a los hombres; servimos al Señor Jesucristo (24).

B.- Ofrenda de sacrificio.

1.- Su trabajo es una ofrenda de sacrificio ante Dios.

2.- Usted sabe muy bien para quien está trabajando – no para el pastor, director de la escuela dominical ni para nadie más. Sino para Jesucristo y para su reino.

3.- Usted sabe muy bien que no está trabajando para la gente. Ellos en muchas ocasiones no están de acuerdo con lo que se hace y mal entienden a los obreros cristianos. Si Dios es quien nos motiva interiormente, la obra del Señor seguirá siempre adelante.

III) LA MADIDA DE NUESTRO TRABAJO

“. . . creciendo en la obra del Señor siempre. . . “1ª Corintios 15:58).

A.- Firmes, constantes, no trabajando en vano – que se pueda depender de nosotros.

1.- El obrero no presta solo un servicio aparente. No trabaja solo cuando el patrón lo está observando. No echa el polvo y la basura debajo de la cama o alfombra cuando nadie lo ve, ¿se puede depender o confiar en el todo tiempo?

2.- El obrero ha de poner todo su empeño en el trabajo. Barclay dijo: “el obrero no debe aparentar que trabaja arduamente cuando dentro de su corazón desea que la empresa o compañía fracase y odia amargamente al patrón o director de la misma.

B.- Creciendo en la obra del Señor siempre-como se hace el trabajo.

1.- La palabra creciendo en el original tiene la idea de abundar, existir en grandes cantidades. En otras palabras, el obrero debe tener abundantes dones y capacidades para su trabajo. También significa ser causa de abundancia, ser ganador, extraordinario, prominente; abundar, progresar más y más cada vez.

2.- Lección práctica: a Dios no le interesa tanto la personalidad como el resultado del trabajo. En el servicio del Señor se requiere participación total, empeño, trabajo arduo.

C.- Su trabajo no es en vano-esta es la recompensa:

Bien vale la pena todo sacrificio y trabajo arduo, todas las decepciones y frustraciones naturales, porque la recompensa es eterna, imperecedera, no de este mundo sino sino del venidero.

Conclusión.

Somos colaboradores de Dios. No estamos solos en el servicio del Señor. En algunas ocasiones el trabajo es arduo y parece que sentimos desmayar, pero con la ayuda de Dios seguimos adelante. Si todo lo que hacemos es para la gloria de Dios y lo hacemos como ofrenda de sacrificio para su santo nombre, además de hacerlo con todo nuestro corazón y empeño posible, estemos seguros de que nuestra labor no es en vano, que hay una recompensa eterna para todos nosotros.

Zeeblio Guestbook

Hi,

If you view the guestbook you will see all the text, with exception to the title, that I was able to change from the default color to white. I'm looking for help on changing the color of all the remaining text including the actual comments.

Zeeblio and adding html elements

I'm finding that most html objects that I've tried using with Zeeblio do not work. For example "Google adverts" and the "Wibiya toolbar" are just two things which refuse to work for me, the latter screwed the whole site which I then had to delete.

Is everyone else having the same issues?

FTP tricks by corporates again.

Where is the angry mood option to, as I am very angry at tripod these days.

I have noticed that you have started to block ftp and yet like I would like to echo many people posts I have read and I did a home course that needed to use the ftp as part of the course with the book pointing to tripod. Is tripod now moving to the next level of internet 2? Where internet 2 will be less freedoms and domain names will go from around £5 and £7.50 to right up £1,000 and way more just for a basic level.

Are you getting ready for the next level of domain names with no capping?

Why should people pay just to have the ftp activated only to complete a course or use the freesites as a testing groung for dreamweaver softwares? I am a dreamweaver CS4 user and I have 8 websites and already pay for 1, while at the moment can't pay to have more but it nice to have mixture of websites with different themes up that I have created. Now with your ftp blocking many users can't use they editing softwares on they computers unless give in to corpocracy to pay the fee just for minute time to pass the course or just for testing some aspects before putting on the main site/s.

Notice the change since you teamed up with facebook (worse kept spytool by authorities), google (NSA) and others. Are you going the same way?

I notice this post ended up elsewhere, sorry for that but it meant to be a separate post.

Zeeblio Help

Is Zeeblio supposed to be working yet? There are still a few things I can't do with it, such as upload my own pictures to use as backgrounds and changing certain parts of the design.

I'm also getting a lot of broken picture icons within the sitebuilder where functions just aren't working and can't be accessed. I've tried with IE/Chrome/Firefox browsers.

Which sitebuilder are we supposed to be using if Zeeblio isn't working yet and Webon has disappeared?

Is anyone using the Tripod Photo Album Appication?

Hi! Hope someone can help me with a few Tripod Photo Album questions. --Thank you, donaldmoon (webmaster, luckycatmuseum.com)

(1) Is there any easy way to find other photo albums in Tripod so that I can see what others have done?

(2) I would like to give my viewer an elegant way to leave my Photo Album, automatically returning to my FrontPage menu page. (Generally from which they came.) Or to the beginning of the 1st Photo Album page, from which they can return to the menu. I don't want them to have to back up 5 pages, 1 at a time) to the beginning & I definitely don't want them to have to kill the browser screen to get out.

(3) On the "CHOOSE A TEMPLATE TO CUSTOMIZE" screen, I notice a "Links Component" template. How does that work & what can I do with it? Will that give me the solution to my question #2? Is there a way to insert a live link into my photos or text? I'd think that this would be pretty basic stuff when building websites -- even with Photo Album.

(4) Is there any way to connect these Photo Albums to sites like FaceBook, Flicker, or even to my FrontPage site already on Tripod? Basically I'm wanting to replace old FP pages of photos & descriptions with new up-to-date Photo Album pages.

(5) Is there a better way to find out about Photo Album than I've been able to find? Right now I'm reduced to trying stuff that I think might be the way to go. And, by the way, is this the right topic to place this under? My previous list of questions has simply disappeared...
